FAQ's

WHY SHOULD I BUY A MASTERPAN?

It’s 5 pans in 1 and will save you time, gas and money using 1 burner hob instead of all 4. It also makes cleaning dishes an absolute breeze because there is only one pan to wash.

DOES IT WORK ON A GLASS STOVE TOP?

As far as cooking, it works well on any glass stove tops; however, like cast iron, it would need to be carefully placed on the stove top to avoid scratching the surface.

HOW DOES THE HEAT DISTRIBUTION WORK?

On the bottom of the pan there is a standard size circular base plate to place over your heat source. It can be used on any size hob and this is what is going to distribute the heat throughout your pan. The pan has been designed so that the grill section which is in the middle of the pan will always be 15-20% hotter than the side sections so its ideal to cook meats and fish in the center section at a slightly higher temperature while the sides remain slightly less hot for cooking vegetables, potatoes, eggs, pancakes, etc. It is frequently recommended to not be using frying pans at high heat at all. We recommend using a medium heat all the time and let the heat gradually flow through the pan prior to cooking.

HOW DO YOU COOK DIFFERENT FOODS THAT ALL REQUIRE DIFFERENT COOKING TIME?

You can definitely cook up to five different things in one pan by placing them in at different times. Similar to a regular frying pan or a wok you will start with meats first and then add the vegetables and the garlic and the seasoning in stages; otherwise if you do it all at the same time, it will either burn or just not cook properly. The beauty of the MasterPan is that you can start cooking your meats first in the center grill section and then your veggies on the side or heating your gravy right at the end. You don’t have to use all 5 sections at the same time, and can prepare the next item while you’re waiting to save time.

IS THE MASTERPAN SAFE TO USE IN AN OVEN?

Yes, the MasterPan works in the oven too, but the handle is only heat resistant up to 180 C (approx 350 F) for up to 1 hour.
